If you take your computer to a computer technician and ask them to work on it, one of the best tools in their toolbox would be a system restore.

A system restore will take your computer back to a prior point in time before you had problems with your computer. This is preferable to wiping out your computer, spending hours re-installing the operating system and putting back all the software programs you had on it. In addition, you will also have to restore the personal information that you had previously backed up to an external hard drive.

I have the blue screen issue. The computer restarts so quickly , it is hard to do any uninstall of programs or run the system restore… any ideas?
John:
Are you able to boot from the Windows CD or System Recovery CD for your computer? If so, then I would perhaps run a Windows Repair from the CD.
If the above is not possible, then it sounds like you may have a hardware problem. The first component I would suspect would be the power supply.
