Brand new i7 2600k, 16gb ram. straight out of the box. Keeps freezing, not even been connected to the internet yet. tried unplugging all usb connections. at a complete loss as to what it could be.
only software i have installed is adobe creative master suite cs6.

Sorry for you luck here…especially with a brand new machine. Is this a band named PC such as HP or Dell? If so, I’d immediately contact their support and get them involved.
My first line of thinking would be possible overheating. I’d start by taking the side of the case off and ensure that all fans are working properly. Leave the side of the case off and see if the added airflow helps.

i took my laptop to a school i am doing my internship programe and a lady brought a pendrive to give her some movies. After doing that and going back to the hall, i saw that when i boot the machine, it slows down especially when i want to browse.please, help me.

I think you have 2 options here that you could do.
1. Do a System Restore to a time before this incident. http://computerfreezes.net/how-to-restore-computer/
2. If your using Windows 7, then run a Startup Repair. http://computerfreezes.net/how-to-run-a-windows-startup-repair/
One of those two options should speed your computer boot time up!

Could you give some more specific information as to when your computer freezes such as:
When is it freezing?
Is it when freezing while using a specific program?
